Taizé

Sunday June 2nd at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary

Taizé is a prayerful service of worship that is popular in churches, throughout the world. Prayers are sung and scripture is read in a candlelit service of reflection. The music is simple phrases, usually lines from the Psalms or other pieces of scripture. The repetition is designed to help meditation and prayer. Come and sing, or just listen and be. 

We do not create prayer, but merely prepare the ground and clear away obstacles. Prayer is always a gift, grace, the flame which ignites the wood; the Holy Spirit gives prayer. ~Kenneth Leech
