Local Mission Partners
Crossroads Community Center – Located in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia where 60% of the residents are below the federal poverty level. Crossroads serves 300 – 400 local youth with sports programs and uses their church as a safe place for them to gather. Pastor Juan’s goal is to make the neighborhood safer for children & their families.

West Kensington Ministry – Located at Norris Square, Philadelphia – the center of the city’s and the nation’s opioid drug crisis. WKM ministers to residents who live in the nation’s 4th hungriest neighborhood. Pastor Adan’s goal is to have the church be a safe place for local residents. They operate a recording studio & silk-screening business to teach youth & members the principles of business, and to provide an income stream to support their activities geared at building up their neighborhood.

Oxford Circle Christian Community Development Association – OCCCDA’s programming is targeted to the Lower Northeast, Oxford Circle neighborhood of Philadelphia. They provide many programs for the community, including before and after school programs for 125 children, a Summer Camp, and adult classes for English as a second language for local residents.

Code Blue Project – Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH) is an alliance of individuals and organizations assisting unsheltered adults in Central Bucks County. Their work is based in building trust. During the Code Blue season, guests are welcomed into a host church, offered a warm meal that is eaten family style, have the opportunity to fellowship and share stories, get a good night’s sleep, and make connections and build relationships that continue beyond that cold winter night. Each year, Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church is the host church for the month of December.

Adult Mission Team Initiatives
Local – “Rebuilding Together Philadelphia” – The NWPC adult mission team does weekend construction projects in conjunction with project managers from Rebuilding Together Philadelphia in the poorest neighborhoods in the city, working on rehabbing homes that have fallen into disrepair to bring them back to acceptable standards.
National – The adult mission team has traveled to New Orleans, Memphis, Florida, New Jersey and North Carolina, working in conjunction with project managers from Baptist Church after major disasters to help to rebuild those areas. These trips are usually a one week commitment.

Other Mission Activities
NWPC supports a variety of other missions in our community, such as providing book bags filled with supplies in August for children at Crossroads Church & Oxford Circle Community Center, providing financial support to “A Woman’s Place” – a safe haven for sheltered women and children, and organizing Community Food Drives.

NWPC also makes casseroles for the homeless through St. Francis Inn in the Kensington area of Philadelphia twice per year, provides Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in nearby communities (through our Sunday School program), and participates in the “Blanket Sunday” fundraiser in conjunction with Presbyterian mission programs.
